Melipilla: Feliz Navidad

Wow, I can't believe that it is Christmas already. This has been the best week of my mission and maybe even my life. I have never worked so hard in my life. I think I have finally learned what it means to "FORGET YOURSELF AND GO TO WORK." I have a new comp, Elder Thomas. Elder Thomas is from Herriman, Utah! He's a stud and came to Melipilla ready to work hard. I told my comp when he arrived that we're only going to speak Spanish, we're going to be exactly obedient and we're going to work our tails off! We have seen miracles this week as a result. Last week we had 13 people in the church with us and this week we ended up having 17! I was so happy! I can't even describe the feeling of sitting with 17 amigos in the church together. I kept playing musical chairs and getting up to go sit with different people during the meeting! My comp said that the most he has ever had in the church is three. My response was, "Welcome to Melipilla!"  I love it here. We have three more baptismal dates set up for January 18th! We should have at least five baptisms in January. But the craziest part of the week was that we are going to have two baptisms this Saturday! Lorena finally wants to get baptized; it truly is amazing.  She wants to get baptized and she is ready to get baptized! Hector is going to baptize her. I am so happy for them!

We have also been teaching this cool 17-year-old, Tomas.  Tomas loves basketball and he has truly changed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He is also getting baptized this Saturday! Elder Thomas is going to have his first two baptisms of his mission in his first two weeks in Melipilla! We have been working so hard and we are truly seeing miracles here in Melipilla. It is so amazing! I don't think I have ever been happier!! It is Christmas Eve and I am here in Melipilla just loving it. I love this work; it is literally the work of God. I know that Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know Jesus is the Christ and the Savior of the world and I know that families can be together forever.  I love that I can share my testimony to people here everyday with full confidence and with the Spirit. I love it; I have never had so much fun. It is so crazy to have a Christmas in 90-degree weather but I love it. I'm going to whip up a little pancakes tomorrow for Christmas! WOO!

Merry Christmas,
Elder Zwick
