Melipilla: Tomas and Alonso

Happy New Year! 2020 is already off to a great start. Elder Thomas and I worked our tails off this week. Tomas and Alonso got baptized and it was so amazing to see them passing the Sacrament on Sunday. I am so happy for them and I could not believe it when they both showed up to church in white shirts! Alonso and Tomas are faithful young men and are leading the way for their families! They are literally my little brothers; I love them both! Watching my new brothers progress in the Gospel is so cool! Benji and Carlos got the Aaronic Priesthood on Sunday too. Hector was able to get his temple recommend and we received permission to accompany him to the temple for his first time to do baptisms. We went early on Saturday morning and it was such an amazing experience to be in the temple with my brother, Hector! We also celebrated Hector's birthday this week with cake and singing! Wow! The birthday parties in Chile are classic. I have eaten so much food this week! Our zone has a goal of 18 baptisms this month and we are completely focused! We are only wearing blue ties to remind us of baptism (good thing my Mom only sends me blue ties)! Hector's sister, Angelina, is going to get baptized on January 24th. Then we have Renato and Emilia planning to get baptized on January 25th. We are working really hard to reach our goal of five baptisms this month. We're doing everything we can to make it happen! This week I have been studying Alma 36 & 37! These two chapters have helped me focus 100% on the Savior!  The Book of Mormon is the key. I also love Elder Johnson's talk from last General Conference and his counsel to read the Book of Mormon "every day, every day, every day!" I have found so much strength and answers to my prayers through the Book of Mormon. Have a great week!

Love,
Elder Zwick
