El Monte: Stolen Bikes

Things are great in El Monte! It was sad to say goodbye to Elder Segovia. He completed his training and is such a great missionary already. I love him and I'll always remember our time in El Monte! My favorite adventure with him was when our bikes got stolen one day while we were inside teaching. It was so crazy! They were locked up and just gone when we came out. It was a long next week without them but thankfully we were able to get new ones. El Monte is a huge sector--so bikes are a must. When we got our new bikes we immediately painted them yellow to make sure no one would ever steal them again. My new comp is Elder Wilkins! Elder Wilkins is from Arizona and we are still serving in El Monte. There is so much work to do here; our ward has 1000 members but only 40 are active! We took the sacrament to two families yesterday and had a family home evening for another family last night. I felt just like my Dad whipping out pancakes at family home evening. We have a baptism set for next week and two the following week! The work here is progressing and we just keep pushing. Elder Wilkins and I are zone leaders so it has been a crazy couple weeks adjusting to our new responsibilities. We've set high goals as a zone this month and we're working hard to achieve them. I love being a missionary! There is no where else I would rather be.

Read John 16:33!

Love,
Elder Zwick
